Luca Aletta - pianist, composer, arranger and teacher, obtained three academic degrees from the “A. Scontrino” Conservatory in Trapani: in 2009 first level degree in jazz music (110/110 cum laude), 2012 master degree in jazz music (110/110 cum laude), 2021 master degree in jazz piano (110/110 cum laude). He has published 31 records (19 as a leader, 12 as a sideman), over 100 published original compositions included in 12 books of scores, and also 5 piano methods, 2 books about Jazz history, a book of music harmony . He has performed at important festivals and events in several European countries (Spain, France, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia) and he has won prizes at important national and international events: 1st overall prize cat. composition at the “3rd international Etnie Musicali competition” (Teramo, Italy, 2008), 3rd prize cat. Jazz soloists at the “1st Rotary International Music Competition” (Augusta, SR, Italy, 2010), finalist in “(RI)SCRITTURE – 1st arranging and composing competition for jazz orchestra” (Catania, Italy, 2012), 1st prize cat. Jazz at the “X International Music Competition AMIGDALA” (Aci Bonaccorsi, CT, Italy, 2021), “Best Band” prize at the “Bucharest International Jazz Competition 2022” (Bucharest, Romania), 1st prize cat. Jazz at the 2nd edition of “Swiss International Music Competition” (Lugano, Switzerland), 3rd prize cat. Jazz at the 7th edition of “The Rising Stars Grand Prix” (Berlin, Germany), semi-finalist at the “DC Jazz Prix 2023″ (Washington DC, USA), “Best performance” award at the 2nd edition of the “Dexter Jazz Contest 2023″ (Bari , Italy).
